Pairing: Yama (Ohno x Sho)
Length: In-between
Rating: G
Summary: Sho is always driving Ohno around.

The first time Ohno rode in Sho’s car, it was two days after Sho got his license. Sho gripped the steering wheel so hard his knuckles turned white, and he drove well within the speed limit. They took twenty minutes longer than it should have. When he woke Ohno up, Ohno had laughed softly about how safely he had driven, and said that it was the most comfortable sleep he had ever had in a car. Sho smiled and waved to his Leader before driving off at the same snail’s pace.

The eleventh time Ohno rode in Sho’s car, it was after they’d gone drinking with the rest of the band. Ohno drunk his fill and Sho kept his alcohol level low as he knew he’d be driving afterwards. Ohno was sleeping it off in the passenger seat, his face slightly flushed with the alcohol in his veins, and Sho had to admit he looked pretty cute. Those lips were so kissable… He shook his head and forced himself to focus on the road. Maybe he’d had more to drink than he originally thought.
“Sho…” Ohno mumbled, halfway between sleep and wakefulness. Sho glanced at him, but he seemed to have fallen back into slumber, and Sho let him sleep till they reached Ohno’s apartment. As it was, he had to half carry the semi-unconscious man up to the doorstep. The top half of Ohno ended up draped over Sho’s shoulder as he fumbled in the shorter man’s pockets for the keys.
“Thanks for… driving me home... Sho…” Ohno mumbled into Sho’s neck.
He went on for a while, the sounds gradually became unintelligible, except for a phrase, “...love you, Sho...”
Sho blushed a deep red, and told himself it was the alcohol talking. After safely installing his drunken Leader onto his bed, Sho turned to leave, but he heard a sound from behind him.
“Sho,” Ohno moaned. “Please stay.”
Sho knew he would regret it, the next day was a Monday and he had to be early for his newscasting, but how could he refuse his Leader?
~*~*~*~*~*~
The thirty-second time Ohno rode in Sho’s car, they were rushing to the hospital, to check on Aiba after he was hospitalized due to pneumothorax. It was the second time it happened to their beloved sunshine boy of the group, and they wanted to be there for him. Jun and Nino were making their way separately, in Nino’s car.
“Why are there so many red lights?” Sho growled, gripping the steering wheel almost as if he were about to rip it off.
“Relax, Sho,” Ohno’s voice floated from the passenger seat. “We’ll get there.”
Sho took a deep breath and focused on the road again. He knew that Ohno probably felt as anxious as he did, yet the older man hid it well and instead focused on helping others calm down as well. That was one of the things he admired about his leader - the ability to calm people even in the most extreme of situations.
~*~*~*~*~*~
The hundred-and-... well, Sho had lost count, and at this point he thought it didn’t really matter - Ohno was curled up on the passenger seat, a contented smile on his sleeping face. Sho surreptitiously lowered the volume of the news on the radio, and thought about his decision to drive Ohno on a fishing trip, as he drove along the highway.
It could be worse, he reflected. Ohno might have wanted to go to a theme park with a Ferris wheel or something… Sho shuddered at the thought.
Spending a couple of days alone with this cute old man and making sure he wasn’t burnt to a crisp by the sun, well, he could handle that.
Casting a fond glance at his sleeping passenger, Sho couldn’t help but smile to himself.

One day, on one of their programmes, the guest had asked why Ohno was the only one who hadn’t got his license, even though he was the oldest. Ohno simply smiled and shrugged, and left the others to their theories. Nino joked that Sho was always driving Ohno around anyway, like a chauffeur. Or rather, a “Sho-ffeur”. Sho laughed alongside everyone else, but he couldn’t help feeling curious as well.
After the programme ended and it was just the two of them in the car again, he decided to ask the other member.
“Ohno?”
“Hmm?” A sleepy mumble floated from his side.
“Why don’t you get a license?”
There was a pause, and Ohno gave a light chuckle.
“Why would I?” he said softly, tracing Sho’s hand with his own long fingers, relishing the obvious thrill that ran down the other’s spine from the contact. “My Sho-ffeur is right here.”
